Digital Art

Patrick Goubet, born in 1952, never ceases to discover the codes of our society, and is a unique visual artist true to his generation. His preliminary work in 1990 in plastic arts led to discovery and exploration of digital stills and moving images as the new expressive art form evolved.

In 1995 Patrick founded 'The Connectik', a multi-media gallery in Lyon, France, where he could focus on the digital art medium. In collaboration with a society of artistic partners, two flat screens were installed in 2001 creating a progressive digital art gallery.

With the proliferation of flat screens in our professional and social evironments, Patrick Goubet, envisions a vast modern canvas to explore this digital genre. In 2007 'The Art Display Group' was formed to produce digital animated works.

In his series 'Portrait de Famille', Goubet presents an ironic and caustic gaze on imaginary families wherein is revealed so much of us. "Mondes a part" (Worlds Apart), a comic strip of poetic images stirs our imaginations in brilliant colour and form.
